First up, if you are the author, look away now, no good ever came from the author reading 1 star reviews. This is not for you.

Partly my expectations made me dislike this book. I only read three chapters before skipping to the end.

I imagined it would set the scene like a Midsomer Murder plot, then have a murder, then we'd get clues and spot the villain. It does not.

The story starts with us being told who the murderer is, who they will kill, and by chapter three it's even easy to guess why.

The characters themselves have no depth. The narrator is so annoying I wanted to murder her myself.

So with no real reason to care about how the murder was done, knowing who dunnit and having guessed why, the book had the feel of a long click bait article with me mentally screaming 'get to …
