Delighting both adults and children since it was first published in 1865, Lewis Carroll's Wonderland turned the rules of Victorian behaviour upside down, and uses clever wordplay to transform logic into nonsense. Alice is a steadfastly sensible child lost in a bewildering world of silly adults. Through the strange challenges she faces, Carroll explores themes of childhood, identity and justice, and creates a reality in which there is no other option but to accept the absurd. --front flap

It's a children's book

As such an often referenced work I was expecting there to be more inside. But in the end it's just a small children's book story without much happening. There's a surprising amount of poetry and growing and shrinking involved though.
