Great story with a lot of extremely creative concepts. The realms of space are super fascinating and well thought out. Less space stuff and more individual world building, even though it seems like a big space opera at first. Kind of leaves you wanting way more, so I will probably read his other books.

Loosely a Cli-Fi but with out any unbearable dread. Not usually a fan of that specific scifi subgenre (not because it isnt good but because you know..the whole world.), and kind of exhausted with generation ship or space colonies, but damn the action kept coming and the world building was amazing. Loved all of the characters and felt attached to their hardship, struggle and success. Would highly recommend. Also good for plant lovers 🌿🌿🌿🌿!

Starting this book I realized the author doesn't know Lake Michigan is a lake, not an ocean. I swear the editor added one parenthetical saying (he knew it was a lake he just just liked to call it an ocean).

Strap in for a wild ride.

Basically I think I am now a Luddite and need antidepressants.

Tough read but very prescient.

I hated less than I enjoyed. Could have been great if it were under half as long.

Every couple of chapters I would look up the date this was written and just stare at the year.
