i am somewhere between the ages of Sean-as-he-is-now and Sean-as-he-was-then & i relate to them both, in different ways. I don't think John Darnielle ever forgot what it was like to be a teenager.

This book is one that I found incredibly powerful, personally important, totally enthralling, beautifully written, and I never want to read it ever again. It is...a LOT, and it succeeds in just about every aspect, for me.

It's just...a lot.
